Woodford Primary School, a school with proud traditions was established in 1854.  It is nestled in an attractive setting on the Merri River, 10 kilometres north of Warrnambool.  The school services a fast growing rural/semi-urban population, which has rapidly expanded due to land and housing development.  This school has had increasing enrolments every year for the past 14 years and is in a position to maintain this growth.  The current enrolment of the school is 141 students with a teaching staff of 7.8 and a combined non-teaching staff of 2.3.
